For many this picture may be dominated by the rather lovely Fendi bag… for me however it is dominated by the rather stunning pair of suede over the knee boots.

I really really want a pair, they will be going on the list of my autumn winter must haves. They will be the perfect excuse to dig out all my unwanted leggings that I have abandoned over the past year, and worn with some cute jumper dresses or t-shirts!
UPDATE!!
I have found a pair! Woo Hoo! Office, £120!
I challenge you not to love them!
And how are they supposed to be worn I hear you ask….

I have been invited to numerous evening weding receptions this autumn, what is the right thing to where to such an event?
Pastels, florals and chiffon are a bit of no no, seeing as I won’t be there for the exchanging of vows I think there is less a need for all the frou frou, essentially, when you are an evening guest you are there to party, so the appropriate wear would be party clothes correct? Well, yes and no, I think that for a young gal like myself it needs to be a careful mix of partywear and formalwear- avoid anything tarty and call me a prude but I still think it a bit dowdy to wear black, even to a wedding reception!
Seeing as I have two receptions, one a work friend and the other a very close friend (they are getting hitched in Italy just the two of them, v.cute) I figure i have the possibility of buying two dresses.
The first I have bought, was a find from Monsoon a long grey silk bandeau maxi dress. I am hoping to where this one to my close friends wedding, where I feel I will not be judged too much for wearing a very long maxi dress… I get the impression there is some unwritten rule that you should wear a long dress unless you are the bride.
As for my second reception I am not too sure, I don’t want to break any fashion faux pas the bride and groom may have so have decided to avoid the long dress… so I am now on the hunt for a formal party dress that isn’t too tarty… oh and isn’t white or cream…
Here’s what I came up with, all fairly inoffensive and will help me easily blend in with the ‘day’ guests! I would like to be low key, after all it isn’t my big day and I detest anyone who tries to outshine the bride… not mentioning any names (VB!!).

I am quite enjoying all these celeb weddings this summer… all very glam!
I have to say that out of all of them Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi has to be my favourite! I really really REALLY love Portia’s wedding dress, Ellen doesn’t look too bad herself mind, and not to sound all soppy- but do they not look totally in love! (pass the sick bucket I know!)

The happy couple
What do you think? Who has been the best bride/groom this summer?

Dita Von Teese for Wonderbra
If anything is to entice me into buying sexy undies it has to be these images…
I find the partnership between Dita and Wonderbra a weird one, I always imagine her picking up her undies from a beautiful Parisian boutique or having them specially made for her dainty figure, and not for one second do I imagine her popping into Debenhams to pick up the latest Wonderbra push up balconette.
Regardless of that she still looks stunning, and completely contradicts my belief that you have to have a coat of fake tan to look good naked… her pale skin simply glows!
Have to admit looking at them I am feeling a bit dowdy in my Markies bra and frillly Primark pants….

Have the queues started forming on Oxford Circus already??
Yup Kate Moss’s Autumn Winter collection is due to arrive in the shop that sells tops in 21 days!! Cue mass panic and saving. From the PR spiel it all sounds pretty much the same as what we have already seen from the Moss, dropped waist dresses etc… it would be quite nice to see her (or the team of designers) step out of the box a bit, I like the clothes but it is all too predictable to be honest; however, I could be proved wrong this collection… you never know!
Here’s what Topshop said about the collection,

I am a little teeny bit excited about Amy Adam’s new movie Miss Pettigrew.
Not only does it look like a top notch chick flick but it also looks like it is chock-a-block full of fabulous 30’s glamour and fashion…

Miss Pettigrew Starring Amy Adams
The storyline basically is; “Guinevere Pettigrew, a middle-aged London governess, finds herself unfairly dismissed from her job. An attempt to gain new employment catapults her into the glamorous world and dizzying social whirl of an American actress and singer, Delysia Lafosse” (IMBD).

Miss Pettigrew
How much do you want n old school hat after seeing this?? It’s all a bit Dit Von Teese, with the clothes on… I love it!

Miss Pettigrew
It is all so yummy… I espesh love her hair. To recreate it I think it best to pull out the ole velcro rollers again.

Yup! The time has come once again for the loafer to rule the world… well the fashion world anyways! No doubt no one else will actually give a damn, but I think that the loafer is gonna be big this winter.
Check out these sweet puppies:

Call me crazy but are these not the greatest pair of shoes you have ever set your eyes upon, once again Christian Louboutin out does himself again. The heel, the patent maroon leather along with the loafer detailing is so yummy! They are essentially the perfect pair of shoes, why you may ask… 1) you can wear them to work with a lovely gray skirt suit 2) you can also wear them casual with a pair of skinnies and a nice white shirt, with both outfits looking equally as delightful as the other.
Now, I eased you into the whole loafer thing with the Louboutin… but prepare yourself for these bad boys.
These little Kasbien Penny Loafers hail from Topshop, I think they are like Marmite, either you love them or you hate them. Me? I love them! So much so that i might dare myself to go get a pair! High five me.
Do you not think they would be brilliant with nice black tights and plaid shirt dress? or maybe, nice crisp straight legged jeans and a good shirt? or maybe knee high socks and a cute dress…
Does it sound like I am trying to persuade you? Yes. OK I’ll stop. Like I said either you love them or you hate them. But if you do love them, my only bit of advice would be to not wear them with flare trousers… it would be a bit too Donny Osmond. Unless thats the look your going for of course.
Get them here.

I have to admit I am a bit of a fan of Nicole Richie; and when I saw this outfit I felt compelled to write about it. It’s not much of an outfit to be honest, just a black skirt with a white shirt but for some reason I feel like it stands out as being quite unique. I know I keep harping on about them but I feel like Nicole is just working the high waisted mini skirt to perfection, adding a bit of edge to what could be a mundane outfit.

Again in this photo she is wearing a somewhat tame outfit but I love, love, love it! I am the kind of person who likes to throw on a pair of jeans if I am walking up to the local shop. So I put on my jeans, a wee vest top and somehow am left feeling a bit blah… a nice loose kaftan-ish thing like this would be the perfect solution to this pretty stupid problem I occasionally get. I have often seen these Chinese short kimono’s, that are probably for bed times, but which I think would fabbo… after seeing this wee piccie my brain has went into overload and I am now longing to accidentally come across one of those kimonos so I can snap them it up!

Great Britain Team at the Olympic Ceremony in Beijing

US Team at the Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing
Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past weekend you will know that the Olympics have started… now I know everyone is interested in whose winning what but I am more interested in whose wearing what…
The Great Britain team looked very preppy in outfits designed by Tom Browne of Lee Cooper Jeans. Everyone was decked out in cream blazers with navy skirts/trousers.
#
The Ralph Lauren outfits for the US team again looked a bit preppy, but more in a Legends of Bagger Vance kinda way… not too sure if I like the hats and the matchy matchy of it all. I wouldn’t have hurt to put the girls in some cute skirts. But overall I think they look pretty dapper; I quite like their little scarves too!
