Girl of the moment… Katy Perry.

I wasn’t too sure about Katy Perry initially but I think that I have definatley warmed to her, she is super cute and has a courageous dress sense!

Katy Perry DG party Here she is rocking it out at a party hosted by D&G’, wearing of course D&G!

Isn’t she a betty! A kinda mix between Lilly Allen and Dita Von Teese! I really like her individuality, and for anyone who really admires Dita’s look but doesn’t want to do overboard I think Katy is the perfect example!

She wears a nice mix of vintage clothing, designer rags and high street, which I think could be highly achievable!

Check out Lulu & Red, ASOS and Topshop for playsuits and retro dresses. Don’t be afraid to experiment, go for mega glam 50’s hair with a cute flirty dress one day. Katy seems to be a big fan of corsages, but don’t pay over the odds for one on the high street- nip down to your local garden center and craft one yourself! Make sure you show off your womanly shape, nip in your waist with a colour belt or silk scarf! If you aren’t confident wearing short playsuits then I would recommend sticking on a pair of bright tights, have fun when your dressing, liven things up with a bit of colour I say!

Miss Pettigrew Movie

I am a little teeny bit excited about Amy Adam’s new movie Miss Pettigrew.

Not only does it look like a top notch chick flick but it also looks like it is chock-a-block full of fabulous 30’s glamour and fashion…

Miss Pettigrew Starring Amy Adams

The storyline basically is; “Guinevere Pettigrew, a middle-aged London governess, finds herself unfairly dismissed from her job. An attempt to gain new employment catapults her into the glamorous world and dizzying social whirl of an American actress and singer, Delysia Lafosse” (IMBD).

How much do you want n old school hat after seeing this?? It’s all a bit Dit Von Teese, with the clothes on… I love it!

It is all so yummy… I espesh love her hair. To recreate it I think it best to pull out the ole velcro rollers again.

Mini skirtize me!!

I don’t care if I have a big bum; I really want a mini skirt… like really bad!
I already own a sack top style one from Primark but given that it was bought for about £8 it is a little badly fitting. When I first got it I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about getting the ole thunder thighs out but after taking several baby steps (with the help of some very loud tights) I finally braved having my pins out!

My next venture is a mini skirt from American Apparel… you know which one I mean! The one that you see celebs wearing under loose tops in that casual Rachel Zoe L.A way, the one that I am actually positive I saw on Cameron Diaz looking a bit baggy…

the one that I will no doubt spend hours of anguish debating over whether my arse will actually fit into it, then I have the ordeal of how large and dimpled it will look (graphic I know, but hey I am a size 12- ok technically I am a 12 my bum is probably a 14 because I was blessed with one of those ridiculous bubble bums that nothing seems to flatter. At all.

Anyways, I am after a skin tight, spray on, sling me into it, mini skirt! I intend to wear it with pride, alongside all those skinny minnies, with old skool rock t-shirts, tanned legs and lots of chunky jewellery… maybe a few studs thrown in for good measure to ham up the whole 80’s look.
